Why I Love Bokeh

It's a photography technique which is easy when you know how to do it, but it's very difficult to explain how to achieve it.  Basically you need a manual focusing camera, sunshine, perhaps raindrops & a mass of something in all different shapes & sizes.  So then you can focus at different points & you'll only know if it works out if you see it played back on your camera screen... although sometimes you can see the effects through your lens, esp if it's against bright water.

It's a Japanese word in origin as in Boke  which means blue or haze.

For these I used the beech hedge :)

I have so much fun with bokeh, it's an instant feel good technique & today I took dozens... & all are different too!
